Services for Joe Mitchell Bradford, 80, were held June 7 at Bates Cooper Slone Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Bro. Al Baker officiating. Interment was at Monticello Cemetery. He was born April 21, 1934 and died June 4.
Mr. Bradford worked for Texas Utilities Mining Company as a parts manager. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife Anita Carson Bradford of Mount Pleasant; son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Sandra Ficke Bradford of Barrington, Ill.; daughter and son-inlaw, Amanda and Steve Jordan of Rockwell; stepson and wife Tim and Kathrene Carson of Iola; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Rom D. Bradford and Ethel Lee Bradford and wife Sue Bradford.
Honorary pallbearers were: Brad Scott, Bud Hanks, Mike Edwards and Jackie Stinson. Pallbearers were: John Edwards, Larry Reynolds, Michael Whitney, David Edwards, Junior French and Brian Dailey.
