Suspect apprehended by police

Tyrone Lamar Taylor of Mount Pleasant was arrested by the Pittsburg Police Department on May 21 after he fled from officers. A Pittsburg Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop at approximately 1:47 p.m. on a gold Chevrolet, which was being operated by Mr. Taylor. It was at this point that Mr. Taylor fled from his vehicle. Officers from the Camp County Sheriff’s Department, Camp County Constable’s Office, and Texas Department of Public Safety assisted the Pittsburg Police Department in setting up a perimeter. The suspect was apprehended in the 200 block of College Street a short time later.
 
Mr. Taylor was transported to the Camp County Jail where he was charged with evading arrest/detention, along with several other traffic related offenses.
