Services for a former resident of Pittsburg, Paul R. Warren, 84, were held at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, May 3 with Bro. Chris Cowan and Charles French officiating. Interment was in New Mine Cemetery.
Mr. Warren who lived in Atlanta, was born Oct. 25, 1929 in Gregg County. He died Tuesday, April 29 in Texarkana. Mr. Warren served in the Navy during the Korean War and worked as an electrician at Kaiser Steel and Lone Star Steel. He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church and the Young at Heart Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his spouse, Charlie N. Warren of Atlanta; two daughters and sons-inlaw Paula and David Torr of Pittsburg and Pamela Carson and fiancé Bobby Clark of Mount Pleasant; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hosia W. and Alice C. Warren; two sisters, Dorothy Whatley and Catherine Surratt.
Pallbearers were: Harrison French III, Jared White, Daniel Pearson,George French, Jerry French, Johnny French and David Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were: Johnny Smith, Donald Smith, James French, Mike French, Edwin Kimball and Bobby Clark.
