Pirates rout Leopards

Liberty Eylau didn’t stand a chance last Friday, as the Pirates captured a blowout 7-1 win in seven innings.
The Pirates scored three runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Brandon Colbert and an RBI single by Charlie Mitchell.
Garrett Truitt was hot from the plate for the Pirates. Garrett Truitt went 2-3 and scored two runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Brandon Colbert racked up 13 strikeouts in the Pirates win. Colbert allowed no earned runs on six hits and four walks over seven innings.
Javon Rigsby ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked four and struck out seven.
The Pirates went up for good in the second, scoring three runs on a two-run single by Cody Perry.
