Storm damages Parker Building

A witness told Camp County law enforcement deputies that a small funnel cloud swooped down at Parker Building on U. S.
Highway 271 north Sunday afternoon around 4 p.m. and quickly disappeared. However, in that short amount of time Parker
Building sustained quite a bit of damage to its main building and storage buildings. The roof and walls of one storage building
were lifted up and deposited in an adjacent field but the contents were left almost completely intact on the concrete slab.
Other structures in the vicinity also sustained damage ranging from a few shingles being removed to overhead doors and
metal siding being damaged. One vehicle, that was parked nearby, was pushed around a parking lot and sustained minor
damage. Late Monday, the National Weather Service confirmed Sunday’s storm was a weak EF-0 tornado with estimated
winds of 70-75 MPH
