Man arrested for several Camp County burglaries

Randy Carl Jeffery has confessed to five burglaries and 15 attempted burglaries in Camp County. The burglaries included the burglary of a habitation on County Road 4120, two storage buildings on U.S. Highway 271, a burglary of a building on Rusk Street and the burglary of a motor vehicle in the city. The attempted burglaries were at 15 storage buildings on Highway 271.
Sheriff Alan McCandless and Chief Deputy Randal Lain interviewed Mr. Jeffery, 27, of Mount Pleasant at the Titus County Jail where he is being held on numerous charges. The charges include three counts of theft over $1,500 with previous conviction, 11 counts of burglary of a building, one count of burglary of a habitation and one count of assault/family violence. He was arrested on the Titus County charges March 7.
