The Bethel Christian Academy will host its annual Spring Fest this Saturday, March 29 at Broach Park on Loop 179 in Pittsburg.
The public is welcome to enjoy a variety of carnival games from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the more popular games for those who are adventurous are the 40’ high Euro Bungee, the 25’ high Amazon Zip Line, and the 35’ high Kong Triple Slide. However, for the youngsters there will be a Pirate Ship and a Tree House Bounce along with many other traditional carnival games. A child’s ticket (3 years and under) is only $5.00. Those who want to ride very little can buy a one-time admit ticket for $5.00. Buy a $15.00 bracelet at the gate for an unlimited number of rides, or save $5.00 and pre-order bracelets for $10.00 by calling The Bethel Christian Academy office at 903-856-5650 or stop by at 614 Mt. Pleasant Street.
On that afternoon, bring a little extra money for some of the delicious food that will be for sale. A broad range of concession items, ranging from $2.00 for a tray of nachos to $3.50 for Pittsburg Hot Links, will be available. Add to that an ice cold drink for $1.00 or a cup of hot coffee for 50 cents. Top it all off with a 50 cent snow cone, $2.00 cotton candy, or a $3.00 funnel cake. Carry out will be available. Restaurant Raffle Tickets will be available for purchase with a chance to win one of the many drawings held periodically throughout the afternoon.
The event had been scheduled in the fall of 2013, but inclement weather forced it to be postponed.
Officials at the Bethel Christian Academy said, “Many individuals and sponsors from our area have generously supported us in this public event. We are grateful to our sponsors and hope to give the public an enjoyable afternoon of good, clean fun for everyone.”
