The Pittsburg Police Department has been busy getting dangerous substances off the streets over the past week as they have arrested three people for possession of what the police believe to be methamphetamines and are also investigating a fourth case.
Victor Noriega, 32, was arrested and booked into the Camp County Jail Feb. 7 for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 < 1 gram. Chief of Police, Richard Penn said the Department made contact with Mr. Noriega at the 300 block of Milligan Street and officers located a substance believed to be methamphetamine in his possession.
Pittsburg Police Officers also arrested Bryan Keith Winchester, 32, on Feb. 11 on the 400 block of Cypress Street after being pulled over for a traffic stop. Mr. Winchester had expired tags, no driver’s license and an expired inspection sticker on his vehicle. He was also found to be in the possession of a controlled substance that was believed to be methamphetamine.
“In general when these cases happen, the controlled substance is either in plain view or a search is undergone through the consent of the suspect or the arrest,” Chief Penn said.
