When I was a young man working my first job, I had a much older man tell me what he believed was the true fact of life: “Son, if you can`t dazzle them with your brilliance, then you are going to have to baffle them with your bull…..” This is pretty much the playbook that the Democratic and Republican opponents of President Trump are using. It is political suicide to argue on the wrong side of tax reform or improvement of infrastructure.
