Republican Women’s group meeting
The Republican Women of Northeast Texas will hold their monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Country Club. The speaker is Cathie Adams, who will speak on implication of the 2015 Paris Treaty and give an update on the United Nations. All interested persons are invited to attend. There is a buffet dinner for those who wish to eat, no cash will be accepted.

Farmers Market on Saturdays
The Pittsburg Farmers Market is open on Saturdays through Aug. 26. The market is 8 a.m. to noon at Texas Country Farm Supply, 409 S. Greer, (Hwy 271) in Pittsburg. Vendor space is free for those selling produce in its natural state; however, vendors must have a current Pittsburg peddler’s permit. Pick up permit forms at the Chamber of Commerce office at 202 Jefferson Street or the Pittsburg Police Department. For information, call 903-856-3442.
Open house at Masonic Lodge
The Frank Sexton Masonic Lodge No. 206 will host an open house on Saturday, May 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their facility at 105 North Ave., Pittsburg. The purpose of the open house is to introduce the community to the Lodge, its members and the many community activitiesi it participates in. There will be members present from the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Knight Templars, the Shriners and the Order of the Eastern Star. The members of these Masonic sponsored organizations will be appearing in organizational regalia and have information about their organizations and many of the other organizations they support such as the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children and Burn Center, Knight Templar Eye Foundation, Scottish Rite Hospital, Masonic home for the Aged, Grand Lodge Texas School tooth program, Order of De Molay for Boys and the Order of the Rainbows for Girls.

Cemetery Association meeting
New Mine Cemetery Association will hold its annual Decoration and Business meeting. Everyone with an interest in the cemetery is encouraged to attend. The worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by a short business meeting. Following the business meeting, lunch will be served. Bring a dish and enjoy the fellowship. Cemetery contributions may be mailed to New Mine Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 763, Pittsburg, TX 75686.

Casino night at Princedale
The Pittsburg Camp County Chamber of Commerce will host “A Night at the Casino” at the Princedale Country Club. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the events will start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person. Come out, play some of games of chance, win some prizes and enjoy adult beverages and great food.

Free meals for children this summer
Free meals for children are scheduled from June 5 to Aug. 4 in God’s Closet. Breakfast will be served 9:15-10 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Lunch will be 11-11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday during the two-month period. For more information, call 903-253-8558.
Trailer needed for float
