Property values rise due mostly to depreciation schedule correction

Camp County residents have begun receiving their residential tax notices in the mail and many are finding that their property values have risen, and in some cases, significantly.
Camp County is divided into three regions by the Camp County Appraisal District to meet the “every three-year appraisal cycle” that’s defined by the property tax code. This year, Region 1 was up for reappraisal, which consists of lake properties and properties within the city of Pittsburg.
Many lake property owners saw an increase in their property tax bills because of discrepancies that were found in relation to the properties not being on the tax roll correctly.
