SOFTBALL
April 14
Pittsburg 7, Liberty-Eylau 0 –Kaycee Parker had 3 hits and 3 RBIs – including a homer in the first,  while Sydney Reynolds added 4 hits and a pair of RBIs as the Lady Pirates won on the road in District 14-4A play.  Pittsburg opened the game with 2 runs in the first, scored 4 in the second and added one in the fourth. Bailey Smith tossed a 4-hitter in the circle for the winners. She fanned 11 and walked 2.

April 12
Pleasant Grove 6, Pittsburg 5 – The Lady Hawks scored two runs in the top of the seventh for a District 14-4A win on the road. Pittsburg took a 2-0 lead in the second, but PG answered with two runs each in the fourth and fifth. The Lady Pirates came back to take a 5-4 lead in the sixth on Kaycee Parker’s 3-run homer to left field with one out. Pittsburg finished with 9 hits, but had 4 errors. Tori Henderson had a hit and 2 RBIs, while Sydney Reynolds and McKenna Wood had 2 hits apiece. Sydney Waldrep, Madison Sansom and Madison Busch added a hit each. In the circle, Bailey Smith allowed one hit, fanned 8 and walked one in 3 innings in the circle for the Lady Pirates. Parker took the loss, allowing 6 hits, striking out 5 and walking 2, in relief.

BASEBALL
April 14
Pittsburg 5, Liberty-EYLAU 3 – Down 3-2, the Pirates scored 2 in the fourth and added an insurance run in the seventh for the District 14-4A win on the road. Chris Garcia led PHS with 2 hits, while Dakota Torrey drove in 2 runs. Brett McGee got the win by pitching a complete game. He recorded 11 strikeouts and walked one.

April 12
Pleasant Grove 9, Pittsburg 0 – The Hawks racked up 14 hits in their District 14-4A win on the road. Chris Garcia and Dalton Warrick each had 2 hits for the Pirates in the loss.  Dakota Torrey recorded the loss on the mound. He allowed 6 hits, fanned 3 and walked 2. Trace Richardson allowed 8 hits and walked one in 2 innings of relief.
