PJHS choir students     excel at competition

Several Pittsburg Junior High School choir students earned awards at a recent UIL Music Region 4 Solo and Ensemble competition.
Most of these students gave up recess and stayed after school to practice all throughout January, according to choir teacher Kristine Koder.
These five students earned a “1 – Outstanding” rating: Halayna Bednar, Jakayla Miller, Brooke Ramsey, La’Tyia Rockwell and Sunshine Scott. These three students earned a “2 – Excellent” rating: Karyme Delgado, Triston Jones and Jonathan Merryman.
“I am so proud of these students’ commitment and dedication. It is a blessing and privilege to work with these and all the students at PISD every day,” said Koder.
