News from the Museum | All-member meeting Jan. 31

Happy New Year everyone, I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Now of course, it’s back to work and the routine of our daily lives. 
And, I’m happy to report that my work here at the museum is very important to me. I love my job and all the people I work with. Job-wise, I’ve saved the best for last.
We have a lot going on at the museum right now.
First, I want to invite everyone to attend our all-member meeting. This event will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. in the Ezekiel Airship room. This gathering is not for ‘members only.’ Everyone is invited. 
A pot luck dinner will be served so bring something to share. Paul Henderson, manager of the Mount Pleasant airport will present the program. This is a great opportunity to see the Ezekiel Airship if you have not had the opportunity and it won’t cost a thing.
Second, we are in the thick of our membership drive. If you haven’t renewed your membership, now is the time to do it. If you have never been a member please consider joining. You don’t have to do a single thing except ‘write a check.’ If you need more information, stop by my office or give me a call at 903-855-7571. 
We keep the doors open with membership money and money raised from our annual fundraiser.
Speaking of fundraisers, this year’s event will be held April 1, 2017 at Princedale Country Club. Please make plans to attend. Included in the evening festivities is a live and silent auction with our own Jerry “Buck” French serving as the auctioneer. There will be a live band and some scrumptious food. Reserve your seat early – contact me.
