Townsend, French square off locally in Nov. 8 election

Nov. 8 will see a contested race for Camp County Precinct 1 Commissioner between incumbent Bart Townsend and challenger George French, and the election of a new president and vice president, but will also mean the election or reelection of several other federal, state, and local candidates. It goes without saying that the most contested election this cycle is the U.S. Presidential election between the two establishment party candidates and two alternative party candidates: Republican Donald J. Trump, along with running mate Mike Pence; and Democrat Hillary Clinton, whose running mate is Tim Kaine. Gary Johnson, along with William Weld, make up the Libertarian Party candidates; and Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka will represent the Green Party.
