• The Pittsburg Kiwanis Club made a donation to the Hanson-Sewell Center dual credit scholarship fund. ose representing the Kiwanis Club in a picture were: Steve Spearman, Pat Smith, Bob Fisher, Jim Jordan, Jennifer Myers, Hanson-Sewell Center director; Jerry Webster, and Rhett McCullough.

• The theme for the Frederick Douglass Alumni Association’s 17th grand reunion is “Keep the Dream Alive.” It is also the association’s mission statement.

• Douglas Hoppock, a professor of theatre at Northeast Texas Community College, is honored by theater alumni.

• Morgan Manley was presented a scholarship from the Pittsburg Athletic Booster Club. Booster treasurer, Danita Hashaway and Paul Howell presented the check.
