• City Judge Steven Simmons to implement increase in city court fines.

• The John F. Turner family reunion was held this weekend. All activities were held at the building across from the Rocky Mound Volunteer Fire Department.

• The Texas Association of Community Colleges has named Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Northeast Texas Community College, the 2008 recipient of the Carl M. Nelson Administrative Leadership Award.
