Frederick Douglass Alumni plans annual reunion July 28-31

The Frederick Douglass Alumni Association is planning its 21st Grand Reunion for July 28 through July 31. The Association holds the reunions every two years. The reunion will be held in the new Douglass Alumni Community Center located at 408 Terry Street. Ruth L. Burton, the chairperson of the reunion planning committee, dispersed a press release concerning the reunion. The release states there will be activities all four days, beginning Thursday morning with an alumni breakfast and everyone is encouraged to bring their yearbooks. Thursday night there will be youth from the East Texas area for gospel singing, dancing, and the promise of a surprise. All events are open to all Douglass alumni, their families and the friends of Douglass.
