One last thought

God is with us. I believe that with all my heart. These are my thoughts; you may agree or not, and in America we still have freedom to express our opinions and positions without interference. Now with that said I believe that God is with us - not only here in Pittsburg, but in this state and in this country. During the last few days of school I saw a student receive a phone call telling her that her grandmother was just diagnosed with cancer. The very first thing that happened is a group of students gathered around her and spent time praying not only for the student but also for the student’s grandmother. I cannot doubt that God had a hand leading the students to pray that day. Two years ago I was on the verge of losing my job. I was in a position I was not ready for doing a job I was not yet knowledgeable enough to do. But by the grace of God there was a man living in Pittsburg, a retired band director and fine arts director who, by all measures, is one of the finest educators in the state. God used that man, and continues to use that man, to teach me how to become the educator I am today. God certainly had a hand in having that man come to Pittsburg.
