Family/relatives that live in Pittsburg: Bruce T & Cathy Harwell; Joseph, Linsey & Payton Harwell. Melissa Harwell who now lives in Dallas.

Occupation/bio: Large Carnivore Handler (though they unusually handle me...)

I work at Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Camp Verde, AZ. I work here because the animals are the happiest I’ve ever seen in captivity and I’ve been to a lot of zoos. My animals have the biggest enclosures I’ve ever seen and we go in and socialize/play with 34 out of 38 of them. Over half of them were rescued from bad homes, or from the wild if their mom was killed. We never make the animals do anything they don’t want to do, but play with them because just like your house cat is excited to see you when you come home and wants to play with a cat toy our large carnivores want to play with bigger cat toys including us.
