City installing new water meters

City manager Clint Hardeman reports that the city of Pittsburg will begin installing new water meters starting April 18. During the following 14 day period, half of the city’s meters will be installed. The manufacturer of the meters representatives and city water department employees will read and bill those meters to ensure all issues and procedures are addressed for the new reading and billing. The second half of the city’s water meters will be installed beginning May 16, and continuing during the following 14 day period. Again the manufacturer and city water department will read and bill those meters to ensure there are no issues.
