Prosecutor to evaluate car crash on Cypress

No arrest has been made, but a criminal investigation is now underway a er Pittsburg Police O cers responded to the 500 block of Cypress Street Friday, March 18 at 11:01 in reference to a motor vehicle crash which took out much of the power on the west side of town. According to Police Chief Richard Penn the case will be presented to the prosecutor this week. Based on the o cers’ investigation, a 2006 Dodge pickup driven by Joe Linwood 53, of Pittsburg, was travelling north on Cypress Street when it le the roadway striking a utility pole. e vehicle then continued to travel on private property striking a chain link fence before stopping. Two buildings, one owned by the Pittsburg Independent School District, were damaged as a result of the crash also. Linwood was transported to ETMC Pittsburg by ambulance, according to Chief of Police Richard Penn.
