• Residents near the Union Paci c railroad crossing on Mattison Street were awakened around 4:30 last Wednesdaymorning when two empty boxcars derailed.

• Three men were arrested last week in connection with the burglary of 11 churches in East Texas. One of the burglaries occurred at Antioch Baptist Church on Farm-to- Market Road 1975 in Camp County.

• Amanda Sample and Amanda Koller, FFA students at Pittsburg High School, recently participated in competition at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

• Kaden Allen Pro tt, 6, caught a 7 pound, 5 ounce bass while shing with his Paw Paw Skeeter Pro tt on Lake Cypress Springs.
