Nancy Kendall Telgemeyer, 58, of Mount Pleasant, passed away peacefully on March 2 at home, surrounded by her family. She fought a valiant three year battle with cancer. She never let cancer shatter her hope or spirit. Until the end she would tell everyone that she wasn’t giving up. Nancy was born October 30, 1957, in Rockport to George and Pat Kendall. They moved to Gladewater when she was 7 years old. Nancy graduated from Gladewater High School in 1977. She was a stay at home mom until she decided to go to college and get her teaching degree. She graduated from A&M Texarkana, in1998 with a degree in teaching. “Mrs. T,” as she was known by her students, taught 18 years at Pittsburg ISD, where she was loved by everyone. Nancy was an active member of The Northridge Church of Christ for 28 years. She was also a member of DAR. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Leroy Telgemeyer; mother, Pat Kendall of Gilmer; daughter and son in law, Salinda and Brandon McCubbins of Haughton, La; daughter, Sarah Telgemeyer of Mount Pleasant; son and daughter in law, Seth and Kara Telgemeyer, also of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Kendall and J.D. McCubbins, and Bradley and Maggie Telgemeyer; brothers and sisters-in-law Ed and Kathy Kendall and Doug and Sharon Kendall both of Gladewater; sister in law, Julia Telgemeyer of Brazil, IN; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her father George Kendall; grandparents Paul and Nancy Kendall and Noel and Marie Hays; in laws H.O. and Lucille Telgemeyer.
