Philip Hayes drops out of race for Texas House District 5

Philip Hayes a candidate for Texas House seat, District 5 has dropped out of the race. Hayes is one of ve candidates running for this position along with Randy Davis, Holly Coggins Hayes, Cole Hefner and Jay Misenheimer. Hayes claimed he had graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in December 2013, but his name is not listed in the graduation list. Hayes claimed he had a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in American History. He also claimed to be a PhD candidate for a doctorate in American History at e University of Texas in Austin, but that has not been con rmed. At the National Student Clearinghouse website Hayes is listed as attending SMU from the fall of 2009 to December 2011, but no degree is listed as earned.
