Nunley

Melvin Dale Nunley, 41, of Scroggins, passed away Jan. 20, 2016 in Tyler. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 24 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jason Blakenship, Rev. Joe McCrary and Rev. Scott Darby o ciating. Interment will follow at the Adam’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Dale was born April 11, 1974, in Pittsburg to Melvin O. and Kathy E. Carr Nunley. Dale grew up in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1992. Dale married Tonya Beasley on Oct. 14, 2000 in Lone Star. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Survivors include his wife, Tonya Nunley; parents, Melvin and Kathy Nunley; children, Krista Clayton and husband Justin of Mount Pleasant, James Nunley of Scroggins, and step-son Morgan Taylor of Scroggins; grandson, Brenton Clayton of Mount Pleasant; sisters, Melissa Marcel and husband Dave of Scroggins, Donna Kemph and husband Tate of Pittsburg, Lisa Ryan and husband Glen of Scroggins, Cheryl Prater and husband Lynn of Mount Pleasant, Willie Matthews (his chocolate bunny) of Huntsville; and close family friends Melissa and Kenny West of Pittsburg. Dale is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, three great-nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
