• An estimated two and a half acres of grassland were destroyed on County Road 3326. e Texas Forest Service was called to assist the local re department. No one was injured. e cause of the re is undetermined.

• Bruce T. Harwell was hired as senior vice president of First National Bank of Gilmer, according to Kelly Stretcher, president and chief operating o cer of the bank.

• Northeast Texas Community College receives a donation from Priefert Manufacturing to build a new barn and stalls. • Pittsburg High School students Michael McGraw and Jody Seale, recently received honorable mention on the Academic All-State football team. Students are selected from Class AAA schools across the state.
