Pirate Sports in 2016

Lots of local sports opportunities for Pirate fans in the upcoming months for the boys and girls teams. Boys’ soccer started on Jan. 2, and Jan. 5, with a scrimmage against Mt. Pleasant and Whitehouse, respectively. e rst game of the regular season will be this Friday, Jan. 8, at home against Gladewater, Varsity game begins at 07:00 P.M. e Soccer team’s next play in a tournament in Paris, ursday, Jan. 14 – 16. eir next Home game is not until Feb. 5, against Kilgore. Both the JV and Varsity will play, games start, at 05:30 P.M. Pirate Baseball begins Feb. 8, with an out-of-towner against New Boston. e next game is a Home game against Mt. Pleasant. e JV and Varsity will play and games start at 04:00 P.M. e Lady Pirates and Men’s basketball teams begin District play this month. e Ladies play Atlanta in their rst District game this Friday, Jan. 8, at Home. e men’s team play their rst District game away Jan. 15, against Pleasant Grove. e next game is against the district rival Liberty-Eylau at home. Games begin JV at 04:30, 9th at 06:00, and Varsity at 07:30 P.M. e Lady Pirates So ball schedule is not yet available. All available schedules are on the PISD website at http://web-server-1.pittsburgisd.net/. Once on the Pittsburg Independent School District website there is a pull-down menu under the header. On that menu look for the ‘Calendars’ tab, pull that down and select ‘Athletics’ and then chose the schedule you want. All schedules are printable.
