• Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation (NYSE-PPC) will build a new feed milling facility in Natchitoches, La. employing 30 persons. began in December with completion anticipated by spring of 2007.

20 years

• Dr. Charles Florio is appointed president of Northeast Texas Community College. He has served as interim president since May.

• Adrian Alexander is chosen as Firefighter of the Year. He is the first Pittsburg firefighter to win the honor twice.
