NTCC Firefighter Academy accepting applications

The course of study will include Firefighter I, Firefighter II, HazMat Awareness and HazMat Operations. The cost for the program is $1,664 plus books and personal protective equipment. Some financial aid may be available and volunteer firefighters may be eligible for tuition and fee assistance from the Texas A&M Forest Service (HB 2604 funds). “This is a great opportunity for those interested in working as a professional firefighter and also for volunteers who want to take their training to the next level,” Lisa York, NTCC Director of Continuing Education, said.
