Local teen participates in Miss Teen of America Pageant

Summer Pylant, daughter of Autum Pylant, and granddaughter of Carla and Robert Peoples of Pittsburg, participated in the Miss Teen of Texas Scholarship and Recognition Pageant Nov. 27-29 in Dallas. The 17 year old senior from Pittsburg High School was named a Merit Scholar as she made it to the top 6. Then, she was named to the Honor Court (top 3), and walked away with first runner up honors for the state of Texas. Summer was sponsored by The Historic Holman House, MC Apparels & Boutique, Peralta’s Mexican Restaurant, Kim’s Salon, The Delightful Heart, The Mayben Group, Pittsburg- Camp County Chamber of Commerce, William Bunn, Carol Wootten, Wild About Tees, Rai Machin, and Rafe Green.
