End of a great season

e City of Pittsburg could not be prouder of the Pirate varsity football team. What a season! A new coaching sta , a new successful formation, a talented and learned coaching sta . e team is District runner up and Bi-district champions. e Argyle game was a disappointment. However, the team never, never quit playing and the score shows it. Setbacks in the rst half dug a whole the Pirates were never able to climb out of. Argyle was a tough nut to crack and Pitt knew that going in. e team can be proud of this season. is is a team who has been mediocre at best the last several years, because they were not coached well. e seniors on this team bought into the philosophy of Coach Brad Baca and the coaching sta . A bit of good news is the Pittsburg Pirates football coaching sta has been nominated for the coaching sta of the year. “We are very privileged to come here and coach these kids. e only thing that we’ve tried to do, regardless of the Xes and Os, regardless of the strength program, the o season summer training, the boot camp, all those things are great. But what we have tried to do as a sta and it starts with my Dad, Eddie Baca, defensive coordinator, and Octavius Parker, the o ensive coordinator and the rest of the coaching sta . We have tried to create an atmosphere of love for these boys.
