Kari’s Law passes in Texas House

A bill named after a Marshall mother of three killed by her estranged husband won passage last Thursday in the Texas House and will go to the governor for his approval. The bill, referred to as Kari’s Law, calls for hotels and other businesses to eliminate the need to dial an extra number to reach an outside line when making emergency 911 calls.
