Lady Pirates drop district opener 7-2

Kaycee Parker held up her end of the bargain, but Parker couldn't pilot the Lady Pirates past Atlanta as Pittsburg lost 7-2 in seven innings at home last Tuesday. The game against the Lady Rabbits marked the district opener for Pittsburg. Bailey Smith got the start for the Lady Pirates, she allowed seven runs in 5 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out six. Atlanta was sparked by a high powered offense, and a state-ranked team. Their top two players in the game teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.
