Strube

Cindy Strube left this life Feb. 10 with her family by her side. She was born Jan, 12 1952 to Cy and Joyce Roach. Cindy grew up in Mount Pleasant, and made a host of lifelong friends; she attended Mount Pleasant schools, and graduated from high school in 1970. She attended the University of Arkansas her freshman year and transferred to East Texas State University where she graduated in 1974, and in 1975 she received a graduate degree in education from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mrs. Strube taught in the Garland and Mount Pleasant School Districts.

Her funeral services were, Feb. 14 at Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment was held at the Nevills Chapel Cemetery.

She married Ray Strube on June 12, 1976; they lived in Dallas for a short time before moving back to Mount Pleasant. She was a member of the Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church, and the Fellowship Class, Community Bible Study, 20th Century Club, Serendipity Club, and Chi Omega Fraternity. Mrs. Strube was a loving daughter, wife, and mother, always involved in her children’s activities; they were her pride and joy.

Mrs. Strube is survived by her husband, Ray Strube of Mount Pleasant; her mother, Joyce Roach of Mount Pleasant; her two children, Ramsey and his wife Heather Strube, of San Antonio, and Caroline and her husband Keith Clayton of Richardson; two brothers: Philip and his wife Susan Roach of Dallas, and Jon and his wife Celeste Roach of Mount Pleasant; nieces: Rachel and Rosanna Roach; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Royce and LaVerne Strube of Pittsburg; brothers-in-law, Jimmy and his wife Judy Strube, and Merty Strube all of Pittsburg; sisters-in-law, Tracy Holcombe of McKinney, and Jamie James of Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cy Roach; her son, Trent Patrick Strube; and her sister-in-law, Iwanna Strube.
