Craig

Ricky Murray Craig, 64, of Cookville, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at South Jefferson Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant with Bro. Gib Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Farmers Academy Cemetery.

Mr. Craig was born on Sept. 29, 1950 in Mount Pleasant to W.O. Craig Jr. and Katie Hart Craig. He was a pharmacist. He graduated from the Southwestern School Pharmacy in 1974 and was a member of the North Zone Champs All District Football Team of 1968. He was also an ordained preacher.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Craig of Mount Pleasant; a son and daughter-in-law, Captain Lance and Kristen Craig of Fort Irwin, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Lyndee and Henry Chappell of Mount Pleasant, a daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Carrington Burns of Pittsburg; a daughter, Angela Taylor of Houston; a daughter, Jamie McClinton of Cookville; a daughter and son in law, Julie and Lonnie Lambert of Houston; ten grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald Glenn and  Phyllis Craig of Longview; a brother and sister-in-law, Rusty Dee and Anne Craig of Frisco.

He was preceded in by his parents, W.O. Craig Jr. and Katie Hart Craig.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Banks, Jared Conroy, Tim Gentry, Joel Conroy, Johnny Conroy, and Terry Cameron. Honorary pallbearers were the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association.
