Lady Pirates win one, drop two in district play

The Lady Pirates started off on the right foot against Paris last week, defeating the Lady Wildcats 49-38; they lost two decisions to Atlanta and North Lamar, 43-39 and 43-33 respectively. Ayanna Palmer led scorers for the game  against Paris with a season high 26 points, going 11 of 20 from the floor for a 55 percent shooting percentage. She also hauled in seven rebounds on the night; three offensive and four defensive and had three steals as well. She also played a season high 30 minutes for the Lady Pirates. Shaundrea Rhymes produced 12 points, going six of 10 for a 60 percent shooting percentage and six rebounds.
