Lady Pirates upend Liberty Eylau 58-46

The Lady Pirates took down district rival Liberty Eylau last week, defeating the Lady Rabbits, 58-46. Shaundrea Rhymes led scorers with 21 points, going 10 of 15 from the field for a 66.7 percent shooting percentage. She also hauled in 14 of the teams 31 rebounds; four offensive and 10 defensive and had two blocks on the night. Ayanna Palmer had 13 points for the Lady Pirates, going four of 13 from the floor for a 30.8 percent shooting percentage. She also knocked down three of four points from the charity stripe and had three steals. D’Maya Hashaway had 10 points for Pittsburg, going four of seven on the night and she picked the opponents pocket twice. Others scoring for the Lady Pirates were: Maxie Ivory (eight points) and Taylor Leonard (six points).
