Jennings

William “Don” Jennings, 84, of Pittsburg, died Thursday, Jan. 8, at East Texas Hospice in Tyler. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with the Rev. Kyle Smith and Randy Fennell officiating. Interment was held at Lafayette Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Jennings was born March 9, 1930 in Upshur County. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg. He retired from the Air Force and Pilgrim’s Pride.
He is survived by his spouse, Rosalyn of Pittsburg; three sons, Garland Taylor of Pittsburg, Ralph Taylor of Mount Pleasant, and Harlton Taylor of Pittsburg; two daughters, Myrna Cashatt of Mount Pleasant and Karen Fernnell of Palestine; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Clifton, Magen Clifton, Chase Banks, Angela Clisch, Wayne Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Jake Taylor, Thomas Taylor, and Will Taylor; 11 great grandchildren, Tyler Campbell, Gabby Clifton, Mattie Clifton, Alexander Landaverde, Bryson Landaverde, Christian Bates, Logan Campbell, Madison Campbell, Nicholas Clisch, Ella Rose Clisch, and Alyssa Taylor; niece Martha Landcascer, and nephews, Tommy Searcy, Richard and Kay Manley. Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by his parents, Phoenix Jacob Jennings and Virginia Bell Riley Jennings; one son, Michael Jennings; his daughter, Mary Sue Jennings; two brothers, Acie Jennings and Dick Jennings; two sisters, Dottie Sue Garrett and Nell Searcy. Pallbearers were Matthew Clifton, Chase Banks, Wayne Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Tyler Campbell, Alexander Landaverde, and Tajawin Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Jake Taylor, Will Taylor, Christian Bates, Nicholas Clisch, and Logan Campbell.
