Redemption, thy name is Lawrence

“Just lay on the ball Demarcus!” That’s probably what every Dallas Cowboys fan in the world was screaming when rookie defensive end, Demarcus Lawrence, had a chance to ice the game for the Cowboys, but squandered it when he coughed the ball back up to the Lions as he tried to pick it up and run with it. But, as sweet, sweet fate would have it, Lawrence was able to redeem himself by causing a game winning sack and fumble, sealing a victory for the Cowboys 24-20.
Detroit raced out to a 14-0 lead on Dallas, the Cowboys offense looked stagnant; thanks in part to Tony Romo laying on his back for most of the first half and the defense was being shredded by Matthew Stafford and company. The Dallas defense, one that has shattered expectations, quickly gave up a 51 yard touchdown by way of a Stafford to Golden Tate touchdown pass and then let Reggie Bush run through them like a freight train on an 18 yard scamper into the endzone, which was set up in part thanks to Dallas’ Da; it was 14-0 before Cowboys fans knew it, but there was a lot of football to be played; and thank God there was.
