Quinn

Services for Lindley Merle Quinn, 73, were held Dec. 27 at First Baptist Church-Pittsburg, with Bro. Chris Reese and Pastor Todd Quinn officiating. Interment was held at The Quinn-Reese family Cemetery in Camp County. Mr. Quinn was born Aug. 25, 1941 in Upshur County and died Dec. 22 at ETMC-Pittsburg. He served in the National Guard and was a member of First Baptist Church-Pittsburg. He worked for TXU Energy for 18 years and was the owner and operator of Pilgrim’s broiler Houses for 15 years; he was an expert welder and hay producer.
Survivors include: spouse, Lucy Parker Quinn; son and daughter- in-law, Todd and Trena Quinn of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Candace and Chris Reese of Pittsburg; six grandchildren: Ty Quinn, Riley Quinn, Cody and Brittany Williams, Matthew Reese, Braden Reese, and Mackenzie Reese; two great-grandchildren: Chandler Williams and Harper Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Donita Quinn of Liberty City; sister-in-laws, Mary Jane Tigert and her husband Norris of Pittsburg, and Judy Blackstone of Pittsburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Quinn was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Ruth Monts Quinn. Pallbearers were: Dr. Craig DeLisi, Jimmy Monts, Glen Reynolds, Bill McMinn, Larry Shrum, Mike Jackson, and Perry Henderson. Honorary pallbearers were: Cody Williams, Ty Quinn, Riley Quinn, Matthew Reese, Braden Reese, and Norris Tigert.
