Pirates down DeKalb 64-44

Keondre Traylor and Dejour Dowell led the way for the Pirates, scoring 23 points and 19 points respectively as Pittsburg defeated Dekalb 64-44 last Tuesday. Traylor knocked down 10 shots from the floor; he also came down with six rebounds. Dowell went 9 of 12 from the floor and tickled the twine once from beyond the arc. D.J. Porter, Robert Hollins, Teryian Cuba, and Sir Charles Perkins produced two points apiece for the Pirates. Justin Zepeda finished with six points on the night, going 3 of 8 from the floor. Sophomore, E.J. Hill, put up eight points, grabbed four rebounds, and went 4 of 6 from the floor.
The Pirates pulled the trigger 57 times in the game, hitting on 30 of those shots and garnered a 52.6 percent shooting percentage overall. Of those 57 shots, 45 came from two-point land and Pittsburg knocked down 28; which gave them a 62.2 percent mark from there. The Pirates also reached the century mark from the charity stripe, hitting 50 percent of their freethrows.
