Bass

Jerry Bass, 78, of Holly Lake Ranch, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. 

Memorial services wereheld Saturday, Dec. 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating, under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Bass was born onJune 18, 1936 in Paris. He was of the Christian faith, served as a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force, was a vocational counselor for 17 years, and was an educational professional serving as a principal for the public school system.

He is survived by his, son and daughter-in law: William and Karen Bass of Tyler; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Sherry and Rex Regnier of Clovis, NM., Cindy and Tommy Fink of Pittsburg and Cathy Bass of Holly Lake Ranch; two brothers: Ed Bass of Albuquerque, NM., and Robert Bass of Phoenix, AZ.; his grandchildren: Ken and Natsuki Regnier, Beth Regnier, Adeline and Justin Derenzy, Gwen and Travis Kendall, Ian Regnier, Keith Winchester, Jeffrey and Lauren Winchester, Eric and Ashley Winchester, David and Kelley Fink, Leslie and Nathan Burson, Shelley and Jeff Lampkin, and Jerri Bass; nine great-grand children: Hayden Regnier, Natalie Derenzy, Hunter and Cash Winchester, Bailey and Malachi Fink, Tinley and Tyler Burson, and Riley Lampkin. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his parents: Obie William Bass and Mattalene Freeland; and three brothers: William Bass, Don Bass, and Ken Bass and also by his sister, Dorothy Ford.
