Walker

Betty Jean Walker, 68, of Pittsburg, passedaway on Dec. 4, at East Texas Medical Center Tyler. Services were held Monday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel in Mount Pleasant with Bro. Kelly Johnson officiating. Interment was held at Clark Cemetery in Jenkins. Mrs. Walker was born on Jan. 19, 1946. She worked 20 years for Titus County and was a member of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and David Elmore of Mount Pleasant, Katherine and Jeff McNeal Krogman of Paris, Melba Dawnette Alexander and Karmin Renea McNeal; four step-children Melody Tolar, Gene, Jerry, and Brenda McNell; three brothers, Wayne Sears of Arlington, Roy Lee Sears of Grand Prairie and Glenn Sears of Daingerfield; two sisters, Debra Raney of Irvington, Ky. and Donna Telford of Houston, 10 step-grandchildren, and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents Oran and Audra Sears; husband, Michael Rex Walker; son James Guy Spickard; and daughter Audra Eulane Spickard.

Serving as pallbearers were Freddie McNeil, Gene McNeil, Dawson Crumpton, Ira Tossey, John Smith and James Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Mc- Neil, Jeff Krogman, David Elmore, and James Carter. Online condolences may be left at www.batescoopersloanfuneralhome. com.
