Lady Pirates drop decision to Gilmer

The Lady Pirates took to the hardwood for their second game of the season Saturday evening, losing to the Lady Buckeyes 41-27.
Pittsburg stalled out offensively in this game, going 12 of 45 from the floor as a team, which equates to a 26.7 shooting percentage. Shaundrea Rhymes lead the Lady Pirates with 10 points, knocking down five of her six points. Ayanna Palmer had eight points on the night, and Kaycee Parker and D’Maya Hashaway both had four points, with Nay Brown knocking one down from the free throw line. Combined, the Lady Pirates had 20 rebounds, with Parker and Rhymes garnering six apiece. Rhymes also had two blocks in the game. Pittsburg stole the ball from the Lady Buckeyes a total of 10 times with Maxie Ivory and Palmer leading in that category with three nabs apiece.
