Two youth teams advance in playoffs

On Nov. 1, both the Pittsburg Youth Football Association flag division and freshman division traveled to Henderson to take on Carthage in the first round of the playoffs. The flag division ended their season as they fell to the Bulldogs 30-0. The freshman division outscored the Bulldogs 6-0 and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. Head Coach, Randal Lain, said, “We could not have won without defensive coaches Josh Walker and Cortez Willis. Walker and Willis put the boys in the right positions and had the boys on defense step it up until the offense could get some points on the board”.
The sophomore division traveled to Hallsville on the same day where they began their first round of the playoffs against the Hallsville Bobcats. The sophomore division outscored the Bobcats 20-0 and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
