According to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, the Pittsburg Pirates are predicted to finish third in district this season.
The Pirates were able to make it to the playoffs last year for the first time since 2010 and were crowned Division II Finalists. Pittsburg will return eight starters on offense and seven on defense. Quarterback will be the Pirates biggest question coming into the season, but will have a bevy of talent at other positions.
There will be several key players to watch this season, including: RB Trey Walker, QB Bily Kimble, OL Jermel Jefferson, LB FreZarrian Harrison, and DL E.J. Hill.
Other impact players include: DL Quentin Edney, OL Tilar Holloway, DB John Wayne Warrick, LB Sir Charles Perkins, DB Tyler Lafayette, and OL Ryan Fueston.
The Pirates will begin regular season play on Aug 29 at Texarkana- Pleasant Grove at 7:30 p.m.
