Burnham

Services for Willard E. “Pop” Burnham, 84, were held June 13 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant with Dr. Clint Davis officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. He was born Oct. 20, 1929 in Ruston, La. He died Tuesday, June 10.
 
Mr. Burnham graduated from Haynesville High School in 1947. He attended Louisiana College and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1962. He was involved in church ministry as a full-time minister of music.
 
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Don Lowry of Mount Pleasant, Cindy and Jim Bob Smith of Pittsburg, and Anne and Johnny Webster of Mount Pleasant. Grandchildren include: Brent and Rena Lowry, Brad and Christi Lowry, Ashley and Chris Jordan, Adam and Andrea Smith, Drew and Jamie Webster and Katy and Stan Kimbell. Great grandchildren include: Jenna, Landree and Karsyn Lowry, Kinley, Bradon and Karli Lowry, Hannah, Cayley, and Jacob Jordan; Aidan and Emily Smith and Hogan Webster; one brother, Ray Burnham of Springhill, La., close family friend and caretaker, Bart Burleson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Drew Ferguson Burnham and Effie Callender Burnham; spouse, Billie Cole Burnham who died in 1982 and one sister, Elsie Jeanne Carruth.
 
Pallbearers were the grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
