Pittsburg’s annual Independence Day celebration, a 23-year annual event, could be coming to an end after this year, but not before residents have a say at a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m. at Pittsburg City Hall. The public is invited to come and discuss solutions to keeping the event going.
The committee will publicly discuss the future of the 2015 event, including the possibility of canceling the 2015 event due to lack of participation and volunteer efforts. The committee will also be accepting any commitments from other organizations who would like to host all future events as a fundraiser for their organization.
