Pittsburg High School holds athletic banquet

Pittsburg High School held their athletic banquet last Monday and several Pirate athletes received awards.
Garrett Truitt received the football team MVP award, Sir Charles Perkins was awarded offensive player of the year for football and also took home the boys basketball MVP award. Trey Nelms was awarded defensive player of the year for football.
Jacob Martinez was selected as the boys MVP for cross country and soccer as well. Abbi Florey was selected as girls MVP for cross country.
Terry Johnson was awarded as the MVP for boys track, and Denasia Watson took home the girls MVP award for track. Watson was also given the girls athletics fighting heart award and was awarded the MVP for girl’s basketball.
Levi Leonard was given the MVP award for boy’s tennis and Hollie Smith was selected as the girls MVP for tennis.
Dalton Ernest took home the MVP for boy’s golf and Shelbi Hill was awarded MVP for girl’s golf.
Kason Newman was given the “man behind the team” award for his efforts in baseball.
Jasmine Walker received MVP awards for both volleyball and softball.
Jonathan Boyd was selected for the boy’s athletics fighting heart award.
